This camera is awesome. If you don't want to hard mount your back-up camera, this is the way to go. While it is obvious and sits on top of your license plate, it doesn't look out of place or strange really. It could also be mounted higher, above your plate with a little modification. The picture quality is excellent. One thing to note is that the "guide" lines are somewhat useless since they obviously don't turn with the car, so cutting the loop wire will remove them. I personally suggest doing this. I also disabled the guides on my stereo, so I can just see the feed, unobstructed. Another thing to note is that the lights on the camera are bright white LEDs, not IR lights. If you're using it as a backup camera, be sure to wire it into your reverse light, instead of a constant hot. Otherwise, it will be lit up all the time.

If you're planning on using it for anything else, note that when the camera is powered, those bright white LEDs are on. They do help with the image though, and even late at night, during rain, the picture is really clear. The field of view is pretty wide, but not so much that you lose your ability to judge the space covered. I'm not sure what the degree rating is for it, I'd guess around 110 to 130. It's enough to see anything you'd need to see within reason.

I've been using it for a month now and I am very happy with its performance. Like I said before, the picture is very clear, the field of view is easy on the eyes. And the onboard LEDs in concert with your reverse lights, provide ample light for the sensor. If you're on the fence, get it!
